First bridge-school cohort starts secondary school
Three years after the first classes opened in Likouala, 46 pupils have started at Épéna secondary school.

It is no ordinary start of term in Épéna. Among the school’s new pupils, 46 learned to read at a bridge school, in their own language.
The community teachers who supported them continue to follow their integration, working with the secondary school’s teaching staff.
The next challenge: housing pupils whose families live several hours’ walk away.
